I started programming computers in high school more than 25 years ago, on a Radio Shack TRS-80 that stored its programs on a cassette tape. When I moved up to the original IBM PC, I thought that was something really special, until 1988, when I got a Mac II (with a 256-color screen! Wow!) and fell in love with the Mac. I wrote some software for SoftDisk Publishing (same place John Carmack and id Software got started), and ported some PC games to the Mac -- Hole-in-One Miniature Golf, Hill Street Blues, and some others. In 1992 I published King of Solitaire through Artworx Software, an original title and my first big hit. I started Red Marble Games in 2002 with the idea of bringing great independent games, originally written for Windows, to the Mac. Mac games have long been my passion in one form or another, and by focusing on porting rather than original development I can make available a broader array of games for people to enjoy much more quickly than if I wrote everything from scratch. And I decided to focus on Mac games that are easy to learn but fun to play over and over, most of them intended to appeal to the whole family. So RMG is my baby. I do all the programming for the games you see here, except for a select few that the original developers wrote for the Mac themselves. When you buy a game from Red Marble Games you get personal attention, because there's no other way to handle it! And rest assured that your financial information stays safe. Red Marble Games never sees your credit card number, and couldn't get it if we wanted to. We use trustworthy third-party services for all of those needs. Finally, we'd like to hear from you! Let us know what you like, what you don't, and what you wish you could find or do here. Thanks for visiting! -- Mark Batten, Founder If you're having trouble downloading, installing, or playing any of our games, check our support page or email us at support@redmarblegames.com.
